Grown at the wonderful Queenstown Vineyards in St Andrews, Nillumbik Yarra Valley.
Natural ferment, 40% whole bunches, hand plunged and foot stomped, then matured in used french oak barrels for 16 months. Bottled without fining or filtration.
Raspberry and dark plum nose, red and black licorice, hard spices, cedar and florals. Rich on the fore palate, with an elegant and complex flow of fruits, spices and oak. Finishes with long fine emery tannins, which will silken with further ageing to 2022.
