Grown at the wonderful Queenstown Vineyards in St Andrews, Nillumbik Yarra Valley.
Natural ferment, 40% whole bunches, hand plunged and foot stomped, then matured in used french oak barrels for 16 months. Bottled without fining or filtration.
Boysenberry, black cherry and plum nose, licorice, poached winter fruits, vanilla and bay leaf. Powerful and rich palate, with a complex flow of fruits, dark chocolate, spice and gentle oak. Finishes with beautifully ripe fine tannins, which will continue to soften with further ageing to 2022.
